Acceptable Use Policy

How DatumPilot may and may not be used.

Last updated: 2026-05-31Effective date: 2026-05-31

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out how you may and may not use DatumPilot. It is part of our Terms of Service. DatumPilot helps you interpret an existing GD&T callout and recommend candidate feature control frames from design intent; its outputs are decision-support information, not certified engineering decisions.

Permitted use

You may use DatumPilot for your own lawful engineering and learning workflows: interpreting a GD&T callout you are authorized to use, and reviewing recommended feature control frames as one input into your own engineering judgment.

Prohibited use

You agree not to:

  • Treat DatumPilot outputs as authoritative, certified, or final engineering, inspection, or compliance decisions. Always have a qualified engineer review results before relying on them.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, models, or underlying logic of the service.
  • Scrape, bulk-export, resell, or build a competing product from the service or its outputs.
  • Attempt to bypass authentication, usage limits, billing, or other access controls, or probe the service for vulnerabilities without authorization.
  • Upload content you do not have the right to use, or content that infringes the rights of others.
  • Upload unlawful, harmful, or abusive content, or use the service to violate any applicable law or third-party right.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, security, or performance of the service.
  • Rely on DatumPilot outputs for safety-critical or regulated decisions without independent verification by a qualified, licensed engineer.
  • Use the service in violation of applicable export-control or sanctions laws, or to handle data you are barred from exporting under those laws.

Plan use

Each plan is intended for the kind of use described where it is offered — for example, lower-cost plans are aimed at individual learning and study rather than organization-wide deployment. These descriptions help you choose a plan; they are guidance, not a per-plan enforced restriction. Please do not share one individual account across an organization or resell access.

Your responsibility for outputs

DatumPilot provides assistance, not certification. You are responsible for independently verifying any output — against the source drawing, the applicable standard (for example ASME Y14.5 or ISO GPS), and your specific application — and for any decision you make based on it. Do not represent DatumPilot outputs as a substitute for review by a qualified, accountable engineer. Using DatumPilot does not constitute the practice of professional engineering and creates no engineer–client relationship between you and IngeniVue Engineering Services Inc.

Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this AUP, consistent with our Terms of Service.
